BMC General Info on Billing
We calculate the total cost of your move based on fuel cost, load size, and the time from when we start loading until we finish unloading at your destination. We do not charge for the time it takes us to travel to your location or to return to our base after the job is done.
As a courtesy, we provide free disassembly and reassembly of furniture.
Additionally, we supply the following free of charge for loading, unloading, and transportation purposes only:
- One free TV box
- Mattress bags
- Furniture padding
- Tools and equipment
For packing materials headed to storage and non-reusable items like bubble wrap and shrink wrap, there is a fee. Bubble wrap is used to protect glass items and TVs (60” or larger), while shrink wrap and padding secure drawers and protect furniture. By our standard, we place protective blankets on furniture items once they’re in the vehicle. For added protection, some clients prefer us to wrap their furniture before it leaves their home to prevent nicks and scratches and avoid wall damage. This can take extra time and may incur an additional charge for the materials used to hold the padding in place.

Movers typically start by moving boxes first. To prepare for your move, organize all boxes, bins, and luggage in front of furniture items or near the exit without blocking the way.

- Keep entry and exit ways clear of objects.
- Clear off items that need to be disassembled.
- Reserve and lock elevators for movers only.
- Remove lamp shades and light bulbs.

- Distance to the Truck:Long hallways, staircases, or elevators.
- Total Number of Items: Furniture, boxes, and unpacked items.
